August Setup

Image
So this post is going up a day later than expected but it's still within the week so you'll have two posts per week. For August I did a theme that I've been wanting to do for quite a while. The theme is travelling. I hope you'll enjoy it too! Spread 1: cover page

July Setup

Image
We are getting closer to being up-to-date folks (okay I won't say that word again I promise)! The next month I want to show you is July. I was quite busy in that month and even though it isn't as much my style, I just went with a more simplistic black and white theme.

Book review: Finding Audrey - Sophie Kinsella

Image
Welcome back! I snooped through my bookshelf and made quite a long list of books that I want to review for you. So for now I guess my main topics for the blog will be Bujo and books.  To the book: It is called "Finding Audrey" and was written by Sophie Kinsella, the famous author of the Shopaholic-series. It is her first youth book and it was actually the first English book I read. For you to get an idea of the content, here's the blurb:

June Setup

Image
Next up is June and I did something very different to anything I did before. I took a few of the magazines that were laying around and cut out some fashion pieces. And that was kind of my theme: Fashion in a scrapbook kind of way.

May Setup

Image
Good morning/evening/night! I am going to show you my May monthly setup because it was the first month of my current bujo and I want to show you the entire content of my bujo. Oh and if you're interested to see my last bujo just go ahead on my Instagram to see it. I will however post flipthrough videos of it anytime soon. So keep an eye open for that.  In May I decided to go with a book theme. "Looking from Alaska" was the first book of John Green and it is my absolute favourite of all books I have read from him and also one of my all time favourites. I kept it quite scrapbook-ish and my lead colour was yellow. Spread 1: Cover page

Book review: The Future of Us - Jay Asher & Carolyn Mackler

Image
Welcome back! As mentioned in my last post I also write book reviews and wanted to share one today. I read a lot of youth, romantic and fantasy books but I always try to change the genre and the language of the books (for me as a half Brazilian and half German I change in between English, German, Portuguese and I'm trying to read a book in French too). That also means I can't share all of my books since some of the authors are German/Brazilian and there is no translation available. If anyone would however be interested in knowing any of these books you can always contact me. To the book. I read it in German (Title: "Wir beide, irgendwann") so I only have a picture of the German version. It was written by Jay Asher, who is also the author of "Thirteen reasons why", and Carolyn Mackler. So that you can get an impression what the book is about here is the blurb (which I took from the Internet):

Bullet Journal Setup

Image
Hello everyone! I started bullet journaling about a year ago and I have learned a lot with it. For anyone who doesn't know what bullet journaling is: it is a system created by Ryder Carroll in which you create your own planner. Since you do it yourself, you can combine it with a lot of other things such a notebook, a health keeping diary, etc. If you want to know more about the original system, you can see this video made by Carroll himself or buy his amazing book (which I started reading a while ago too).  So just to clear things up: no I didn't invent the method myself and I am not using it in the original way (even though I am currently trying to find out what works best for me). I think the first thing that comes to mind is: why do a planner if you can buy one and spare the time creating it? Well that is a good question. For me personally it was a great way to explore my creativity and get a lot better at drawing. But the bullet journal (bujo) also allows the customisa...

Welcome

Welcome to everyone who's new to my blog and those who already knew my German version! Before I actually started to post content here I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself and this blog. My name is Izzy and this is my blog (obviously). I started a few blogs but was never really happy to limit myself to only create one certain type of content. Then I just ended up creating a blog where I would post anything that comes to my mind. This Blog is in German and anyone who wants to see it (and who can indeed speak German) is very welcome to do so. The link is in the sidebar where all my other social media accounts are listed too. About a year ago I started doing Bullet journaling and posting many pictures of my spreads on my Instagram and so I decided that I wanted to do a English version of my blog for anyone from Instagram and elsewhere who wants to join me and my thoughts. The content will be quite similar to my German one but there will be things that I will only share th...
