October 2019 Setup

Hellou everyone!
I was planning to post this setup a long while ago but well it's only coming now. Also, if you haven't noticed (which is kind of hard since you're already here) I have completely changed the layout of my blog and I am so pleased with it! I hope you enjoy it as well. Okay here's my setup:

Oktober callendar
Calendar and autumn bucket list

Autumn bucket list

I couldn't really decide for a theme in October so I decided to go all cliché and do an autumn inspired one since I hadn't done one before. I decided to not do a cover page because I really wanted to finish the year in that notebook. Instead I just did a calendar and added an autumn bucket list in the empty space. I wanted to watch "Hocus Pocus" (which I couldn't because it was no longer available on my streaming service) and "Harry Potter" and do all kinds of cosy things. The layout itself is quite simple. I did an ombré header for the month and the word "autumn", added some copper gel pen and that's it.

Finances
finance tracker

Bronze stickers for fall

What did make me choose this theme in the end, were these stickers I had bought a couple days before I set up my month. I liked the autumnal motives and the bronze/copper colour. I kept my finance tracker from the month before. It is really helpful to see how much and what I spend my money on. I can only recommend tracking your spending!

Dutch door days

I chose to do something very different for my weekly layouts. The previous month I had tried doing the daily layouts in which I had the freedom of using as much space as I needed (which worked so well!). But I couldn't do that the following months or else I would have had to start a new notebook. Therefore, I decided to do a faux Dutch door spread for all the days of the month. On the left page I had a list of general tasks for the month. Beneath I listed my habits. And then I folded all the pages in half and dived these columns into two or three (you'll get what I mean once you see the pictures). The last thing I added was a little drawing for each day, so that I could colour in how many of my habits I managed to do on that day. Spoiler alert: I ended up not using my bujo for almost the second half of the month and therefore didn't fill out the doodles. But it was fun coming up with them. In the following I will show you all the pages I did (please note that the left and right column stay the same on all the spreads).

So that was everything I had to show for my October bullet journal setup. It was definitely not my favourite month in terms of design and productivity. I hope you are all doing an amazing time and we'll see each other very soon.
